Russell Baxter - Holistic Mining Services

Russell Baxter

PRINCIPAL | SENIOR MINING ENGINEER & CONSULTANT (Underground Mining)

Russell is a Senior Mining Engineer, 3D Seismic Specialist, and Consultant, pioneering in the integration of 3D Seismic Survey Interpretation into mine design. With extensive experience in world-leading 3D Seismic survey analysis and immediate roof strength analysis through 3D Seismic, GSR and, geophysical borehole logging, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise and practical underground experience.

Russell’s career began 'at the coal face,' where he achieved one of Australia’s highest development rates and productivity levels. His comprehensive underground experience encompasses all critical elements, including electrical systems, conveyance, air and water management, ventilation, strata management, and equipment limitations.

With an 11-year track record of success across all aspects of coal mining methodologies, including mine design, Russell draws on his operational experience in Longwall, Development, and Bord and Pillar mining. He has collaborated with notable industry leaders such as Idemitsu Australia, Ensham Resources, and Anglo Coal.

Russell holds qualifications in the following:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering, Honours) from UNSW
  • Certified Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) (Mining)
  • AUSIMM Chartered Professional in Mining
  • Ventilation Officer Certificate from UNSW
  • Second Class Mine Manager’s Certificate
  • Deputy’s Certificate of Competency in Underground Coal Mines in Queensland

Peri Timo - Holistic Mining Services

Peri Timo

PRINCIPAL | CIVIL AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEER & CONSULTANT (Project Coordination, Assessment & Remediation; QHSE)

Peri is a versatile and passionate Civil and Environmental Engineer and Consultant, with demonstrated strengths in project coordination, stakeholder management, research and data analytics, environmental due diligence, and regulatory compliance.

With a 12-year track record spanning diverse projects in the Environmental, Remediation, Civil, Building, and Construction sectors, Peri has extensive experience in contaminated land management, PFAS remediation, waste recovery, and occupational hygiene.

Skilled in implementing and managing QHSE systems, Peri is dedicated to enhancing health and safety standards. Peri holds a Bachelor of Engineering with a Double Major in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a Minor in Natural Resource Science, and a Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety. Peri is currently completing a Master of Engineering Management for completion in September 2024.
